Should I Dedox to Lose Weight?

A detox is a good idea if you want to lose weight or if you’re just trying to get rid of that stubborn bulge that just won’t go. Whether we like it or not we take in toxins from the air, water and food.

Detox to Lose Weight

Think of it this way, you can eat nuts but your close friend eats nuts, goes into anaphylactic shock and dies! It’s the same food but your body deals with it just fine. But what happens to all the small parts of the food your body can’t deal with and finds it hard to get rid of?

This will be stored in your body and the safest place to store this is in your fat cells. Now as a safety feature your body will hold on to this fat as it’s doing its best to keep you safe. It doesn’t care that you’re trying to lose weight, its doing its job!

So instead of fighting your body you need to help it get rid of all this stuff that could be causing you to remain over weight. So if you have tried virtually everything under the sun but still find yourself unable to lose the weight keep reading.

I am a qualified trainer and if I could get my hands on some of these people that come up with some of these fad diets that cause you to become more acidic and more toxic id be up for manslaughter!

Then we move on to the many different types of weight loss programs out there. It seems every day there is some new miracle weight loss cure. I know many people who have spent thousands of dollars on systems and diet pills that just do not work or that get them only to a certain point and then they gain the weight back.

Well that’s not fully true, if they paid cash and weighed themselves before and after they would have lost pounds, dollars or euros.

So why not try a body detox program that will help remove your body of toxins that may be interfering with your digestion process. Ever feel bloated? Improper digestive can cause old unprocessed food to build up contributing to your weight gain and also making your feel sluggish. A proper body detox will rid your body of excess waste that may have been building up over the years.

This will give your immune system a boost that can have wide ranging effects. As more toxins build up you become acidic, when this happens your body tries to counterbalance this which is fine but after years of this going on your body is perfect for disease to spread.

Detox now, for your health, happiness, loved ones and yes your weight loss program!

Stretching for Weight Loss

author Posted by: Admin on date Mar 25th, 2010 | filed Filed under: Stretching, Weight Loss

Why Stretching for Weight Loss is Important

Stretching should be part of your weight loss routine each and every time you exercise. As a qualified trainer I can hand on heart say I hear this all the time (I couldn’t train cos my legs were so stiff) and they go on and on :-( . If they took the time to stretch before hand and after they would have been able to train and wouldn’t be in pain.

Stretching for Weight Loss

So if you do a program correctly you can see results faster and avoid all that pain! Even if you’re not over weight exercising is hard work as you’re pushing your body as well as your mind.  One simple way that you can improve the way that exercise affects your body is to stretch before and after each of the workouts that you do.  No stretching itself won’t allow you to actually lose weight but it prepares your body for the exercise and helps return the muscle to a pre state condition after training.

So Stretching Before Exercise

Before you get started with your workout, take a few minutes to stretch.  Work on stretching each of your muscles groups and rotating all of your joints from the head down (mobility exercise). Move your body in the same type of movement as the training you will do. Warm the body up a bit then start stretching. Don’t stretch cold muscles! Relax as you do this and allow for your body to really feel the stretching happening.

Now that your body is ready you can experience the full benefit of the workout that is to come.  In addition, you’ll be able to provide your body with the best protection from injury later on.  Once you have safely, slowly and actively stretched each muscle in your body, you can begin your workout.

Stretching After Your Workout

This is very important (even if you don’t have time) :-) After you have completed your workout, it is time to begin stretching again.  The reason why should you stretch now is that stretching helps your body to begin to repair the muscles and also helps you to be less sore tomorrow.  By stretching now, you help the body put the muscle to what is called a pre state condition. When we train more blood flows and we heat up, when we cool down the muscle starts to shorten and we stretch it to return it to a pre state condition.

It’s not really important to understand but it is important for you that you do this each and every time. Trust me, I want you to get the body you want, I’m still talking about your body not somebody else. Its not type of website!

What Foods Boost Metabolism

What are the Foods that Boost Metabolism

First I want to say, if you ask questions like this your on the right track. With so much junk and yes, even dangerous information out there it shows you’re smarter than the average bear :-)

What Foods Boost Metabolism

I will give you some foods to try shortly but first I want to tell you why it’s important! When we exercise our metabolic rate rises and this is called the thermic effect of exercise. But when we eat food there is also a rise as our bodies break down the food so we can use it.

But what happens when we diet? We lose out on the thermic effect of food. I hope by now you know diets DON’T and CAN’T work long term unless you stay on it till the day you die!

Food is one of the ongoing keys to boosting your metabolism and when it comes in its most natural forms, it can also be your best tool in maintaining a great weight for your body size and type. So when you eat vegetable and fruit it helps to eat them in the form that they naturally come in.

When it comes to eating vegetables it’s best to eat them raw and steamed because it keeps all of the vitamins and minerals locked in. You should also avoid processed foods and fried meats. Don’t get me wrong fats are a necessary aspect of nutrition however saturated fats are not. The right balance of foods in a day can give your metabolism a boost that pills and fads can’t.

Have you heard of the food pyramid? Well depending on what country you’re in the food pyramid has been changed and renamed. This is not a surprise as this has always been controversial. But it was strange how it mirrored agricultural trends in the past. Strange That isn’t it!

It is best to eat at least three meals a day that are balanced with each food group and in between snacks as well. What people don’t know is that it is ideal that you eat five small meals a day instead in order to get the most out of our metabolic system.

So do not say I said to eat 5 plates of burger and chips and your slim! Make smart choices, and out with the bad in with the good over time. Yes it is that easy when you stay clear of fads and diets.

I hope that helps and answers some of your questions. For more click Lose Weight Quickly now!

Osteoporosis or Strong Bones

author Posted by: Admin on date Mar 24th, 2010 | filed Filed under: Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis or Strong Bones, it’s up to you!

No matter what age you are you need to start to take care of your bones. The younger you start the better but that is something you can’t change. Prevention of Osteoporosis requires developing habits for good bone health in life. Most women will acquire about 98 percent of their bone density by the age of 20. If you have taken good care of your bones while young then your chances of preventing osteoporosis are quite good.

Osteoporosis or Strong Bones

If not, there are ways to increase the density of your bones so if and most likely when you fall you wont break anything! The most likely areas to have a break are the hip and the spinal area. Now a broken hip nearly always requires a stay in hospital and the chances of corrective surgery are much higher.

It can affect your ability to walk without assistance and can cause permanent disability. Breaks in the spinal column can also be serious. These can result in a loss of height, future pain and I mean constant and deformity.

It is essential to take care of our bones and to neglect them puts us at risk of injury and other bone related diseases. Prevention in the early years of life is the best method of dealing with these conditions. However, even as we get older there is still quite a lot we can do to improve our bone health and ultimately, our quality of life.

One of the main risks to our bone health is a disease called Osteoporosis. In this article we will look at this condition, what it is, how to prevent it, and how to improve our bone health even if we are suffering from Osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is a condition were the bones become very fragile and brittle. Think of a honeycomb bar of chocolate, the less bubbles or spaces the denser or harder to break it. The more bubbles the easier it will break. Your bones are like that honeycomb, so we need to make them denser.

Osteoporosis leaves the bones vulnerable to breakage and injury. One of the most dangerous aspects of Osteoporosis is that is progresses without pain until a bone breaks.

This is especially true in women who are post menopausal. Once the ovaries stop producing estrogen, the body looses a natural substance to help prevent bone loss. It is important when this happens to compensate.

Now this may seem counter intuitive but if you do light weights over a period of time you will increase bone density. I’m not talking about bulking up or power lifting!!! I’m taking about light weights 3 times a week in your own home if you want.

Muscle is attached to bone and when a demand is made on the muscle (the light weight) it causes a reaction within the bone that causes it strengthen and increase in density.

Lose Weight Fast

Lose Weight Fast

With our lifestyle choices, almost everyone is going to be inclined to try and lose some weight fast. Losing weight can not only make you feel and look better, but it will increase your self esteem and confidence. A good initial target for most people is to lose 3 pounds per week. This is not by dieting but by creating a routine of activity and diet change, swapping the bad for the good.

Many people who tried it will know that one of the hardest things about a weight loss program is the program itself. The reasons most diets and exercise programs fail is simply because they are so difficult to stick to.

First diets DON’T work long term and second and one of the best things you can do to avoid this pitfall is to come up with a realistic plan before you attempt to lose weight fast.

It’s important that you set out what you’re going to do in advance and do some research on the programs out there. As an example let’s consider the following, let’s say your program calls for 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week, and to cook 3 new and healthy meals a week. None of these things should be particularly hard, but if you fail to plan and organize them into your routine it will be easy for them to fall by the wayside.

Ok, let’s start with the exercise side of this. If you want to exercise 30 minutes a day, when are you going to do it? You need to be as specific as you can. Is it going to be best for you to exercise before work, at work, or after work?

There are many ways to exercise like a treadmill, exercise bike and if money is tight just buy a skipping rope, now that will work up a sweat! Maybe your exercise at work could be taking a brisk walk during your lunch hour.

Whatever choice you make, make sure you stick to it. In order to lose weight fast you have to think of this exercise as part of your daily routine, as regular as anything else you do throughout an average day.
